“Arnica 9CH offers a satirical endoscopy of the dancer’s trade. Filmed fragments of private life are associated with live performance in order to reveal the hidden part of a body that we imagine as perfect. Cigarettes, alcohol, cramps, painful joints… some of the realities of a dancer’s life revealed behind the scenes. This choreographic self-fiction destroys a few fantasies and many received ideas with a good dose of humour and self-mockery.” (Eva Cousido) 
Maud Liardon (1973) was born in Switzerland and trained as a classic and contemporary dancer. Her professional experiences include collaborations with Lyon’s National Opera Ballet and Goteborg’s Opera Ballet (where she was a solo dancer). She has been living in Geneva since 2005 participating in several independent projects, in particular with Foofwa d’Imobilité and Cie Quivala. She was part of the new edition of Duo, choreography by W.Forsythe, and the creation of Triple Zone, choreography by Regina Van Berkel
