Each morning we will warm up deeply together to prepare for the day. Drawing from improvisation, postmodern/contemporary dance, yoga, and Aikido techniques, we will prepare our bodies and our minds for the tasks of the day. We will focus on finding ease and space in the joints, warming our muscles, developing our Ki, and getting the blood moving. Appropriate for all bodies.

CID PEARLMAN (USA) makes dances about real people and how we negotiate being together in a complex world. Steeped in postpunk aesthetics and known for “capturing the poetic attachment in human bonds” (Oakland Tribune), Cid’s work for dance, theatre, film and opera disrupts conventional ideas about desire, gender, and our ability to take action in the world.

Cid’s choreography has been presented by numerous venues including ODC Theater (San Francisco), Joyce SoHo (New York), the Getty Center (Los Angeles), the Museum of Art & History (Santa Cruz), the Museum of Contemporary Art (San Diego), Kanuti Gildi SAAL, STL, and NOTAFE.
Among other honors she has received a Fulbright Award from the US Department of State and has been twice awarded a Djerassi Resident Artist Fellowship.
