DIRTY ROOM is a workshop-piece - both things at the same time. It is based on the project entitled Clean Room. A project where at first I displaced the tools of continuity and periodicity from TV series to the theatre live format. Gradually the project has gone through different states through different seasons, from more cognitive to self-organization to creating a space for poetry. Always having the spectators as protagonists.

"The project was inspired by the connection of seriality. It means episodes and seasons. Another kind of continuity and periodicity than normal performances have. Closer to TV series /.../ We'll work in methodology which we also used in different episodes of Clean Room project, and we'll experience some of the episodes - going through the evolution of the whole project (so far Clean Room has a pilot season, season 1, 2 and 3)"

In this workshop we will work from language to action using the methodology, some practices and actions developed in each season. 

Participants don't need a particular background, they can have different profiles. No dance background needed. Would be nice if you'd have some earlier experience in trying different modes of attention, being open for different kind of situations.

JUAN DOMÍNGUEZ works mainly in the choreography and performing arts fields and its extended practices since 1986. He is a performer, choreographer, stage director and curator. He has been involved in more than 40 productions as a dancer, performer and dramaturge. While developing all these activities he regularly teaches and coaches students and professionals in the field of choreography (Coach of Master in Performing Arts Practices and Visual Culture UAH / ARTEA 2010. Director of the Laboratory "stage creation and media" Master in Performing Arts Practices and Visual Culture UAH / ART in 2011-2012...). 

For different projects he has been working trans-disciplinary with linguists, scientists, designers, and also different art fields. He has been producing his own work since 1992, predicated on questions of the theatre as medium, the parameters of dance: time and space. Exploring the relationship between the different codes, his works advocate the complete dissolution between fiction and reality. His work proposes equal responsibility from all agents involved in an art production.
