Bruno de Azevedo is a Portuguese producer, mixing/mastering engineer and also a music composer playing Guitar, Bass and Keyboards. His musical career started at the age of 11 when he started learning Guitar and Bass.This led him to enroll at EPMA in Lisbon for 4 years, where he has developed his passion for this area having performed both live and in studio as a musician. Whilst at this school, he started learning Classical music and, later on, Jazz. His professional life continued by teaching electric guitar at two schools in Portugal where he was the founder of the discipline. Afterwards he worked as a live mixing engineer for many companies in Portugal until he reached a steady career in this area working for the council of Vila do Bispo in the Algarve, where he was responsible for the cultural planning, music events, recordings and live mixing engineer tasks. During part of this period he accumulated his responsibilities by obtaining a guitar teaching position at the OJL Jazz Academy.
In 2009, Bruno has travelled to England (London) to progress in his career, where initially he undertook an Audio Engineering course in SAE. Here he developed further knowledge on different kinds of equipment, but also all the procedures and techniques of a professional sound engineer. Alongside his school assignments he was recording bands in Abbot Street Studios in order to improve his skills by producing different musical genres. This successful audio engineering course gave him the entrance to the Master’s of Arts in Audio Production at the University of Westminster, where he concluded with merit, in September 2011. With this Master’s Degree he has acquired a deepest knowledge on every task related to the world of the audio production. Nowadays Bruno created BZ 5 Records where he works internationally as a freelance music producer/engineer for single artists, bands, film, radio and all types of audiovisuals. Since 2015 he collaborates with c.e.m-centro em movimento in all sound projects.
