Exploring the Polyvagal Theory

From her background in Body Mind-Centering, Physical Therapy and Zen practice Ulrike will be sharing how the Polyvagal Theory applies to her practice experience with clients. The Polyvagal Theory is concerned with the complexity of human behaviour in regards to negotiating challenges from the environment individually and socially. The theory supports the experience that navigating the sympathetic and parasympathitic modes of the Autonomic Nervus System can be learned through the process of embodyment. In can be applied in a general way and in healing trauma. There will be reference to the literature of Dr. Peter A. Levine and Prof. Dr. Stephen Porges. In this workshop Ulrike is interested in discovering together and discussing strategies and conditions for successfull self-regulation.
