Veronika Wiethaler Workshop on Pelvic floor based on BMC approach in Italy Why would it be interesting to present this work in a lecture/workshop at the conference? Other than in Germany or Holland there can be countries where the work for the pelvic floor is not developed at all. Recently I read that in Japan There have been sold more pads for incontinence than for babies. That tells two things: that there is almost no prevention with pelvic floor exercise and on the other hand, the birth quote is going back strongly.
Biography: I am a BMC practitioner since 1990. I followed the program in Amherst with Bonnie. My interest was always applying the work on a large scale in the community where I live. I am German and live since 1998 in Italy/Genève. With the birth of my daughter I experienced the importance of pelvic floor work. Since 2000 I began to specialize in the field of pelvic floor. I wrote a book about it in Italian which has had a good distribution in the society. I am working with physiotherapists and obstetrics and other figures in the somatic field. I developed also a program for a workout of mobilization of the spine and general gymnastics that includes the pelvic floor work - this experience is captured in my second book. You can find the books on www.wiethaler.com.
