Basically we will work in this workshop on ensemble improvisation. We will explore what kind of situations and moods are to be found in movements and spatial relations. We will play with the physicality as well as with different sources of language (mentality): memory, imagination, verbalisation of the present. We will play around the border form here and now into the space of imagination and back. Stories and situations appear and disappear again. In one moment we might be a family in a suburb of Moscow, the grandparents of one of the group members, molecules in a complicated formula of a newly developed explosive or an assembly of Greek gods – maybe the pictures even over lap. In the next moment we are here again, persons, bodies, minds in a naked room in the presence of watchers…

This work is mainly based on the exploration of improvisational structures of Carpa Theater from 1998-2012, although traces of several other improvisation approaches may be found.

Founded Performance ensemble D.O.C.H. in 1993, joined Carpa Theater 1998, part of the First Lower Austrian Impro Combo since 2011, solo performing since 2014, teaching Theater Improvisation in and around Vienna and elsewhere.
