At 4 pm on 20 August 1860, Robert O'Hara Burke and William John Wills started an expedition with the intention of crossing Australia from Melbourne in the south to the Gulf of Carpentaria in the north, a distance of around 3,250 kilometres. 
They were highly skilled, lacked local knowledge and, of course, they spent most of their time getting lost.
 
At 8pm on 15 July 2011, Sten Rudström and Andrew Morrish started an expedition with the intention of crossing their internal psychic continents, from the banal to the profound, a distance of around 107 years of living.
