action theater is the method of improvisation. it considers body/sound/text as one whole organism and will take it to the playgrounds where the possibilities to move into the patterns that surround us are explored. these patterns are not determined by stories and names but by the physical reality around us.

I invite people who have previous experience in action theater or people who are daily involved in performing arts, especially physical side of it.

ANDRES NOORMETS is graduated from the drama school of the estonian academy of music and theatre, works at the pärnu theatre endla as a director and is active as free lance actor, set designer, lecturer, radio journalist and dramaturg.

he has directed plays for many theatres, also for TV and radio; he has been a lecturer at the universtity of tartu viljandi culture academy, university of tallinn, drama school of estonian academy of music and theatre; he has written texts for theatre, television, radio, various media publications, composers. he has published two collections of poems. he belongs to the creative group nu.unioon.

he has been involved in the action theatre more than fifteen years, he is one of the eight certified teachers of this method in europe, member of the impro group european action theatre ensemble.

ANDRES NOORMETS on lõpetanud EMTA lavakusntikooli, tegutseb hetkel lavastajana pärnu teatris endla ja on vabakutseline näitleja, lavakujundaja, õppejõud, raadiotööline ja dramaturg.

ta on lavastanud paljudes teatrites, aga ka televisioonis ja raadios; õppejõuna on ta tegutsenud TÜ viljandi kultuuriakadeemias, tallinna ülikoolis ja EMTAs; ta on kirjutanud tekste teatrile, televisioonile, raadioteatrile, ajakirjandusväljaannetele, heliloojatele jne. on avaldanud kaks luulekogu. kuulub loomingulisse gruppi nu.unioon.

action teatriga on ta tegelenud üle viieteistkümne aasta ja on üks kaheksast litsentseeritud AT õpetajast euroopas. kuulub improgruppi european action theatre ensemble.
